Homeopathy, from the Greek word 'homoios', meaning similar, is a system of medicine recognised for its practice of prescribing water-based solutions that do not contain chemically active ingredients. The theory of homeopathy was developed by the physician Samuel Hahnemann in 1796. It has a wide and growing popularity in areas where it is practiced, but the way homeopathic medicines work and many of the fundamental principles of homeopathy are still not well understood.

Contrary to most beliefs, there are numerous randomised controlled trials (RCTs), that have demonstrated the effectiveness of homeopathy beyond what can be deemed to be purely placebo.

At the clinic, homeopathy can be integrated into an osteopathic presentation, depending on the nature of the injury. It can also be used to treat secondary complaints that may be discussed in the consultation.
