Thomas Conba BSc(Hons)Ost, MSc FBA, LFHom
Thomas trained at the British School of Osteopathy. He has a lifelong interest in rural and traditional medicine and has spent a number of years in South East Asia studying Chinese manipulative medicine, and in Ireland researching the traditional methods of "bone setters" before moving to Poole, his family home.
He has spent a number of years working with children, utilising cranial osteopathy and taught embryology and clinical skills at the British School of Osteopathy and The London College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He is also a qualified forensic anthropologist with a special interest in the skeletal manifestations of chronic neglect of children.
He is available Monday to Friday on 01202 730307, working two mornings from our satelite clinics in Poole Town Surgery and Evergreen Oak Surgery. John Blachford B.Sc. (Hons) Ost., OSCA John qualified with an upper second honours degree in Osteopathy in 2001 and has 17 years of experience working as a sports therapist and Osteopath. He also holds a degree in mechanical engineering, this gives him a deep understanding of the biomechanics of the human body. He believes that the key to achieving full rehabilitation is comprehensive diagnosis, clear explanation and ensuring that the body is treated as a whole unit. He is passionate about giving the patient the best chance to return to a pain free life. Over the years John has worked with high-level rugby players, runners, judo and karate players and has worked with the Riverdance troupe. He spent 8 years working in London working with city businesses to provide corporate Osteopathy. He also specialises in the treatment of pregnant women, helping them with sciatica, SPD, reflux, sickness and other pregnancy-related problems. John is a fully registered Osteopath (General Osteopathic Council), and is a member of the British Osteopathic Association and the Osteopathic Sports Care Association. He is keen amateur athlete and enjoys running, squash, windsurfing, skiing and circuit training.
